Job Title AVP, Marketing, Savings & Retirement Job Description The RoleThe AVP, Marketing & Communications role within Client Solutions plays an important role in supporting the Savings & Retirement Line of Business achieve its branding and growth targets. In this role you will work closely with the global Client Solutions team and through this forum you will build a strong understanding of each of our markets and products.In this role you'll be responsible for providing strategic guidance and support to the business. This role will also have overall responsibility, working closely with and in conjunction with the AVP, Marketing, Protection, in driving Pacific Life Re's brand, in collaboration with Pacific Life. You will be comfortable to develop a marketing strategy that is well considered, and takes into account the various unique markets in which PL Re operates. As well as this, you'll be a highly skilled content creator, experienced in developing professional communications materials/collateral and external messaging using a variety of mediums and channels. Duties Marketing brand/strategy. Taking ownership for the marketing strategy for S&R, including: Working collaboratively with the Client Solutions to develop a target brand in each of our markets and execute a tailored marketing strategy for each market segment. Leading the Marketing team to execute this strategy, ensuring that plans are well socialised and the relevant Client Solutions teams are engaged and comfortable that they appropriately cater to our different markets and their unique characteristics Proposing and monitoring the budget to implement strategies and produce collateral. Marketing Collateral and Events Leading Marketing team and supporting Client Solutions teams to develop impactful marketing and thought leadership collateral in line with our target brand and strategy for distribution via email, websites, LinkedIn, encouraging presenting engagements and other mediums as appropriate. Supporting the Client Solutions team with advice on delivering key client pitches or papers with impact Leading your team to develop a calendar of events with the relevant Client Solutions teams that best represent our brand and deliver optimal return on our investment, and working with the Marketing team, office managers and PAs as appropriate to deliver on these events. Develop engagement metrics to help assess content impact. Supporting the Enterprise Marketing Function: Overall responsibility for PL Re to ensuring clear lines of communication between PL and PL Re Marketing teams, including acting as a conduit into these teams. As necessary, involvement in the scoping and support of delivering on whole of Enterprise marketing projects (for example, branding, websites) Maintaining a high degree of collaboration with Marketing for the Protection LoB to ensure we are coordinated in our approach and have clear roles and responsibilities. Driving insight on our client portfolio: Taking ownership of the CRM for S&R. This involves owning the adoption and ongoing use of the CRM, to ensure that we have strong plans to extract maximum value of that CRM and monitoring the ongoing adoption and use. From time to time supporting project work as appropriate Working with Client Solutions teams to design and develop client surveys from time to time, in a consistent approach across the business Marketing team leadership: With guidance and support from the MVP, Client Solutions, setting a vision for the Marketing team and translating this vision into appropriate objectives and plans for team members Supporting the development of team members by providing ongoing coaching and development and stretch goals, aligned with the company objectives. Prioritising objectives and plans as appropriate to maximise opportunities to achieve KPIs Skills/Knowledge Degree qualified or equivalent experience in marketing, external communications, journalism or public relations 3+ years experience in content marketing for a global company, with an understanding of business priorities and drivers. Experience using technology and digital communications channels as an enabler of client engagement. Basic knowledge of insurance products, especially life and health insurance is preferable. Required experience and attributes Excellent writing and editing skills with a focus on clarity, tone, and audience relevance. A creative thinker who can develop and implement ideas in line with our Corporate Identity and Principles. Ability to form strong relationships with leadership and peers and be able to work effectively across a matrix organization. Strong interpersonal skills and a good presenter - able to make recommendations with gravitas and inspire confidence in others. Excellent attention to detail and accuracy. Highly organised with the ability to multi-task well. Able to influence stakeholders and build trusted relationships. High level of personal enthusiasm and self-motivation.
