DT Technician | Westminster (Inner London)

We are excited to be working with an Outstanding secondary school in Westminster to recruit a high-calibre DT Technician. This full-time, permanent position is available for an April start and offers a brilliant opportunity for a professional to join a successful administrative and technical faculty. We are looking for an individual who can lead by example in the workshop, fostering a desire for students to explore engineering and design within a scholarly and well-ordered environment.

Responsibilities

• Support the delivery of a creative and challenging DT curriculum through technical excellence

• Conduct regular Health & Safety checks and maintain meticulous records of machinery maintenance

• Use creative methods to help students achieve academic excellence in their practical coursework

• Manage the department's budget for consumables and equipment alongside the Head of Department

• Collaborate with colleagues to maintain an inclusive and professional workspace

Qualifications and Experience

• Strong administrative and organisational skills alongside technical workshop ability

• Ability to work with a high degree of accuracy and independently under pressure

• Health & Safety certification (e.g., DATA) is highly desirable

• Must have the right to work in the UK
