This is a wonderful opportunity for someone who is passionate about early years education and enjoys supporting young children during their first experiences of school life.
The school has a strong Early Years Foundation Stage provision, providing a safe, nurturing, and engaging learning environment where children are encouraged to explore, play, and develop essential early learning skills. The leadership team is supportive and places a strong emphasis on teamwork, professional development, and staff wellbeing.
As an EYFS Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with the class teacher to support the delivery of high-quality, play-based learning activities. You will provide support to individual children and small groups, helping them develop communication, social, emotional, and early academic skills. You will also support daily routines and ensure children feel safe, confident, and valued throughout the school day.

Assist with planning and preparing engaging, play-based learning activities
Observe and record children’s progress to support assessment and planning

Support children with personal care routines where necessary
Promote communication, language development, and social interaction
Help maintain a safe, inclusive, and stimulating learning environment
Work collaboratively with EYFS staff and wider school team
Follow safeguarding, health and safety, and school policies at all times

Have experience working with young children, ideally in EYFS or nursery settings
Be patient, caring, and enthusiastic
Have a good understanding of early childhood development
Be proactive, adaptable, and reliable
