Site Caretaker - Islington | Primary School
We are working with a friendly and community-focused primary school in Islington seeking an experienced Caretaker. This role is perfect for a proactive individual who enjoys a varied workload and takes pride in maintaining a clean and functional learning space for young children.

As the Site Caretaker, you will be a well-known figure within the school community, working closely with the School Business Manager. The staff are friendly and collaborative, and there is a strong emphasis on teamwork to ensure the school runs smoothly every day.
The Role & Responsibilities You will take ownership of the school’s physical environment, ensuring that all facilities are operational and safe for use.
Reactive Maintenance: Responding quickly to internal repair requests and ensuring that any faults are either fixed or reported to external contractors.
Grounds Upkeep: Maintaining the cleanliness of the playground and external areas, including seasonal tasks such as gritting and leaf clearance.
Contractor Liaison: Overseeing external tradespeople on-site, ensuring they follow safeguarding protocols and complete work to the required standard.
Environmental Management: Monitoring the heating and lighting systems to ensure energy efficiency and a comfortable temperature throughout the building.
