Healthcare Assistant (PMLD) - Harrow - December Start - Long-term, Full-time

A welcoming and well-resourced Special Needs School in Harrow is seeking a dedicated Healthcare Assistant to join their team supporting pupils with Profound and Multiple Learning Disabilities (PMLD). This is an excellent opportunity for someone passionate about providing high-quality care and helping vulnerable young people thrive in a supportive educational environment.

Healthcare Assistant Responsibilities:

• Provide personal care and medical support to students with complex needs.

• Assist with daily routines including feeding, hoisting, toileting, and mobility.

• Support teachers and therapists in delivering personalised learning and development plans.

• Help create a safe, nurturing, and inclusive environment for all pupils.

• Work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team including SEN teachers, nurses, and therapists.

Healthcare Assistant Attributes:

• Previous experience supporting individuals with PMLD, complex needs, or medical care requirements.

• Understanding of manual handling, personal care, and safeguarding (training can be provided).

• A positive, patient, and empathetic approach.

• Ability to work full-time, Monday to Friday.

• Enhanced DBS (or willingness to apply).
