SaaS Product Lead

K3 Advantage (a division of (K3 Advisory Group) is hiring a leader to own AdvantageIQ to act as executive owner of commercial performance and product strategy.

AdvantageIQ is our SaaS reporting and analytics platform that consolidates fragmented financial and operational data from multiple systems into one decision-ready view, with a generative-AI assistant engineered by our finance experts. The product sits at the heart of our data-and-advisory offering.

AdvantageIQ operates at the link of finance, data and AI. We are looking for someone who understands how organisations create management information packs, board reporting, consolidation, KPI reporting, forecasting and transaction readiness, and who can articulate how technology improves those workflows for financial and operational information.

Whilst not critically essential, it would be advantageous if the successful candidate could draw on their knowledge and experience as a qualified accountant, but it is critical that they draw on their experience defining and delivering analytical products that combine data from multiple operational and financial systems. They will have experience of working within a SaaS environment and be comfortable with the disciplines of working with a technology delivery team.

ACCOUNTABILITIES:

• Own the AdvantageIQ P&L: revenue, gross margin, CAC, LTV, churn (logo and revenue), expansion, ARR.

• Product Strategy and pricing.

• Go-to-market with the Growth function.

• Customer success health — define and monitor onboarding.

• Partnerships — relationships with source-system vendors (accounting, ERP, payroll, e-commerce, banking API aggregators), advisors (accountancy firms, brokers, PE/M&A advisers) and embedded finance platforms.

PRODUCT DEVELOPMENT & CONTROL:

• Product vision and strategy — 3-year product strategy refreshed annually; defensible point of view on where AdvantageIQ wins.

• Roadmap; ownership of developing and getting agreement of development roadmap and priorities.

• AI; Familiarity with launching AI-enabled features within a commercial SaaS environment, including governance, hallucination risk, explainability, model monitoring and user adoption.

• Development; overseeing the delivery and development of the product in conjunction with the development team.

• Quality and compliance; responsible for ensuring quality of output and service integrity.

INTERNAL LEADERSHIP:

• Be the internal voice of AdvantageIQ in leadership meetings; report on commercial and product health monthly.

• Coach the advisory and consulting teams (Transactions, Tax, Strategy & Data) on how to position and cross-sell AdvantageIQ into their engagements.

• Contribute to brand and thought leadership: webinars, whitepapers, conference panels on AI-driven finance, board reporting, and exit preparation.

EXPERIENCE REQUIRED (non-negotiables):

• Commercial ownership; demonstrable ownership of revenue targets, ideally with P&L responsibility within a SaaS environment.

• SaaS product leadership; demonstrating owning a live SaaS product through a full commercial lifecycle.

• Track record working with a dedicated engineering team — backlog writing, scope negotiation, release planning, accepting or rejecting trade-offs, defending priorities with evidence.

• Senior leadership engagement; comfortable interacting with business owners and senior staff.

DESIRABLE EXPERIENCE (but not essential):

• Background in or adjacent to corporate finance, transaction advisory, or audit — you understand what "investor-grade" reporting data looks like.

• Familiarity with buyers in the finance / FP&A / CFO tech space — board-reporting, consolidation (e.g. multi-entity, multi-currency), cash management, KPIs.

• Experience in AI-driven or data-heavy products, including AI-assistant features and their prompt / data-quality challenges.

• Exposure to SaaS pricing and packaging migrations (e.g. per-seat → usage-based, or freemium → enterprise).

• Qualified accountant; ACA, ACCA, CIMA, ACMA, or equivalent national qualification. You might have practised as an accountant earlier in your career and be able to talk to a CFO about consolidations, management accounts, statutory reporting, and transaction-ready data with credibility.

• Clear written communication — produces crisp one-pagers, release notes, and customer memos.

• Curiosity about customers — willing to sit in on a CFO's month-end close once a quarter.

• Comfortable with ambiguity — this is a small team; the role will evolve.

Compensation: base salary benchmarked to UK senior PM SaaS band; performance bonus tied to commercial KPIs; equity / long-term incentive available for the right candidate to align with the product's commercial trajectory. LOCATION: we have offices across the UK, but would expect this individual to be able to come in 2-3 days per week to either central London or Manchester.
