VisionFR is excited to be working with a growing experiential agency to find their first Part time Finance Director to support the CEO on Commerciality, Profitability and Growth whilst also reducing risk. They are looking for a hands–on, dynamic Finance Director to oversee the day–to–day financial management by managing the finance manager, ensuring all financial matters are controlled, ensuring that all processes and systems are fit for purpose and making improvements to drive efficiencies throughout the agency whilst also getting the agency ready for an exit event 3–5 years down the line.

Responsibilities of the Part Time Finance Director

• Driving the financial performance of the business, working closely with the CEO and senior team to drive growth and profitability. Preparation and production of annual financial plans, regular forecasts and report to support the business.
• Systems / Processes : get under the skin of and interrogate all agency processes, systems and resources. Recommend changes as applicable and aid their implementation. On an ongoing basis be hands on with the day to day maintenance & team compliance of all best practices
• Management Accounting : Ultimate responsibility for monthly, quarterly and annual accounts, Analyse management accounts to provide management insight. Assist the account management team in monthly updating of the client forecasts and ensuring all projects are efficiently managed and that revenue is correctly accounted for
• Financial Accounting : Lead monthly financial accounting reviews vs forecast. Work closely with the senior team on monthly commercial performance (client profitability, team utilisation rates etc.) Assist the CSD in utilisation and recovery rates across all accounts. Supporting the Finance Manager with annual year end audit
• Business Partnering : Create and present financial information for management meetings & advise on the financial health of the business
• Financial Operations : Overseeing all accounting and financial activities. Oversee & support the Finance Manager Maintain and develop financial systems ensuring compliance
• Treasury : Understand the payment timings of all major projects in the business. Assist the account team with billing schedules / oversee cash flow management in line with agree client terms. Input to key supplier management, contracts, payment timings etc.

• Integration with the team – internal presence is necessary to become the go to person for senior financial support
• Firm and challenging when required (stamping out bad practices) but an ability to coach and counsel
• Improve the team's commercial acumen
• Have a good understanding of a creative agency environment ideally Events / Experiential
• You are likely to be qualified ACA, ACCA, CIMA
• You will have held a senior finance role within an SME agency where you have a proven track record of improving profitability
• Some exposure to M&A would be advantageous
