Learning Support Assistant in Blackheath
Learning Support Assistant role to start ASAP at a welcoming and diverse primary school in Blackheath.
Joining a team of likeminded staff as a Learning Support Assistant, you will be working full-time and making a real impact to children's lives.
Working Monday-Friday as an LSA, you will be:
- Assisting with the delivery of learning interventions and monitoring the progression children with SEND make, both 1:1 and in small groups
- Supporting children with SEND to reach their full potential and access the entire curriculum
- Creating a supportive and positive learning environment where every child is encouraged and is able to thrive
- Providing support for non-verbal children with Speech and Language activities
- Building a rapport with children and helping them to regulate their emotions
- Supporting key children to help them reach the targets on their EHCPs or IEPs
- Liaising with and giving feedback to teaching staff and senior leaders
As this Learning Support Assistant position is long-term to last until the end of the academic year, you will have the opportunity to see how your key children progress and the development they make across the school year, making it a very rewarding role. There is also the possibility for the role to become permanent in the future, as well as further training opportunities.
