Speech and Language Teaching Assistant 📍 Location: Primary School, Lambeth 📅 Start Date: September 2025 💼 Contract: Full-time, Term-time only Are you passionate about helping children communicate, express themselves, and reach their full potential? We are seeking a caring, enthusiastic, and proactive Speech and Language Teaching Assistant to join our dedicated team. In this role, you will: Support children with speech, language, and communication needs (SLCN) across the school. Work closely with the Speech and Language Therapist (SALT), SENCo, and class teachers to deliver tailored interventions. Provide one-to-one and small group support, helping pupils to develop confidence in speaking, listening, and social interaction. Use creative and engaging strategies to make learning accessible and enjoyable. Monitor progress and contribute to planning and review meetings.The ideal candidate will have: Experience supporting children with SLCN or a strong interest in speech and language development. Excellent communication skills and a patient, encouraging approach. The ability to build positive, nurturing relationships with pupils. A background in education, psychology, speech therapy, or SEN (desirable but not essential).
