Geography ECT | Haringey (Outstanding Secondary)
We are working with an Outstanding secondary school in Haringey who are looking for a forward-thinking Geography ECT to start ASAP. The school is a vibrant, inclusive community that values global citizenship and environmental awareness.
The Role This is a permanent, full-time role teaching Geography across KS3 and KS4. The department uses a lot of modern resources and digital mapping tools, so it’s a great spot for an ECT who enjoys using technology to make Geography feel relevant and exciting.
The School Located in a pleasant area of Haringey, the school offers a calm and productive working environment. Despite its location, it uses the higher Inner London pay scale. The school is committed to staff development and provides a fantastic induction framework with plenty of one-on-one support for new teachers.
Responsibilities
Delivering Geography lessons that tackle big global issues like climate change and urbanisation.
Using spatial analysis and digital tools to enhance classroom learning.
Helping out with local and international fieldwork opportunities.
Working as a form tutor to provide high-quality pastoral care to a group of students.
Requirements
QTS (or pending) and a solid understanding of Geographical theory.
The school is unable to offer visa sponsorship; candidates must have the right to work in the UK.
A valid enhanced DBS.
Salary M1 – UPS3 (£40,317 – £62,496) per annum.
