After-School Nanny – Clapham, SW4

Salary: £22–£25+ gross per hour, depending on experience

A family in Clapham is looking for a fun, energetic and reliable nanny for their two boys, aged three and seven. They would love someone who enjoys active play, brings ideas for activities and can keep up with two lively children while providing calm, attentive care.

Hours

- Term time: Monday to Friday, 3.00 pm–6.00 pm, 15 hours per week.
- School holidays: Full-time availability is essential throughout all school holidays, including every half term and the Christmas, Easter and summer breaks. Exact daily hours will be agreed with the family.
- Occasional evening care, approximately once a fortnight, usually finishing by 10.00 pm.

This role would suit someone who can commit to both the afternoon term-time schedule and full-time school-holiday care.

Duties

- Collecting the boys from school, a short walk from home.
- Keeping them engaged with games, outings and age-appropriate activities.
- Supporting their afternoon routines.
- Keeping play areas tidy after use.
- Planning enjoyable activities and outings during school holidays.

The eldest boy has Type 1 diabetes. Previous experience is welcome but not essential, as the parents will provide training in his care routine. A responsible approach, attention to detail and willingness to learn are essential.

Requirements

- Previous nanny or childcare experience with children of similar ages.
- A warm, playful and energetic personality.
- Reliability and confidence caring for two children.
- Full-time availability during all school holidays.
- Enhanced DBS, current paediatric first aid and checkable references.
- Right to work in the UK.
- Comfortable around the family’s elderly dog.

A driver is not required.

The family would also consider offering longer term-time hours, approximately 1.00 pm–6.00 pm, to a candidate happy to assist with laundry, light housekeeping and dog walking before school collection. Full-time availability during all school holidays remains essential.
