Special Needs Teaching Assistant - Secondary SEN School - Harrow - Immediate Start Location: Harrow, North West London Start Date: ASAP Contract: Full-Time, Term Time Only Hours: 8:15am - 4:00pm, Monday to Friday Pay: £90-£100 per day (dependent on experience) Agency: SANZA Teaching Agency Are you passionate about supporting young people with special educational needs? A secondary SEN school in Harrow is seeking a dedicated Special Needs Teaching Assistant to join their team immediately. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who is enthusiastic, empathetic, and committed to making a difference in the lives of students with additional needs. The role is full-time and long-term, working closely with teachers and other support staff to provide high-quality support to pupils with a range of needs. The Role As a Special Needs Teaching Assistant, you will: Support students with a wide range of special educational needs, including autism and profound and multiple learning difficulties (PMLD) Provide individualised support and encouragement to help pupils engage in their learning Assist with personal care, mobility, and communication where required Work closely with teachers and therapists to deliver a nurturing and structured learning environment Help create a safe, positive, and inclusive atmosphere where every child can thrive This is a LOVELY school with a great team The Ideal Candidate We are looking for someone who: Has experience working with children or young people with SEN (particularly autism and PMLD) Is resilient, patient, and understanding Works well as part of a team and shows initiative Has excellent communication and interpersonal skills Is passionate about supporting children with additional needs and helping them achieve their potential Why Work with SANZA?
