Senior Performance Marketing Manager
Job Title: Senior Performance Marketing Manager
Salary : £65,000 - £75,000 per annum
Location : London, SW6 4NZ (Hybrid, 3 days per week in office)
About us:
Adzuna is an established and profitable job search engine that lists every job, everywhere. Launched in 2011, we help over 10 million visitors a month in 19 markets find better, more fulfilling jobs. Governments and the world’s largest companies trust us for our unique global audience and jobs market intelligence, and we walk the walk on things like Salary Transparency and Gender Pay. Adzuna’s success to date has been down to the skills and determination of our brilliant staff and their passion for job seekers. If you like the sound of applying your skills in a pivotal role in a leading global technology business, apply to join us today.
The role:
We’re looking for a Senior Performance Marketing Manager with a strong growth mindset to own and scale Adzuna’s global paid acquisition and help grow our newly launched job seeker tools, while bringing a growth-oriented mindset to how we drive sustainable, efficient user growth.
This role is performance-first: you will be accountable for paid marketing outcomes across search, paid social, app, and emerging channels. But we’re not looking for a siloed media buyer. We want someone who thinks in systems, flywheels, and growth loops, and who proactively looks for new ways to unlock growth beyond their core channel ownership.
Reporting directly to the Chief Marketing Officer, you’ll manage a small team and meaningful budgets, while partnering closely with Product, Engineering, Data and Commercial teams. You’ll help shape how acquisition, product and monetisation work together to maximise long-term user and advertiser value. This role blends hands-on optimisation with high-level strategic thinking, working across teams to fuel sustainable growth, support LTV-based decision-making, and improve marketing efficiency globally.
You’ll be joining at a pivotal time as Adzuna expands internationally, deepens its AI capabilities, and explores new acquisition opportunities to transform the way people find better, more fulfilling jobs.
What’s in it for you?
Adzuna is a growing tech scale-up, on a mission to make job search better - for everyone. We help millions of jobseekers find the right role faster, and we’re proud to be changing the job market for good.
You’ll be joining a talented, driven team with experienced founders and supportive colleagues. We act like owners, move fast, and care deeply about what we do. In this role, you’ll:
- Own global paid acquisition across Search, Paid Social, Display, App and new channels from day-to-day campaign execution to long-term planning.
- Maintain deep hands-on involvement spanning account/campaign structure, bidding, creative testing and optimisation.
- Set, manage and optimise against core performance KPIs including CPA, CAC, ROAS, LTV and payback.
- Own performance reporting across channels, cohorts and markets.
- Forecast traffic, revenue and margin, and allocate budget based on performance and opportunity.
- Identify, design and test growth loops and flywheels across paid, organic, product and referral channels, with a focus on compounding growth rather than one-off wins.
- Proactively surface and test new acquisition opportunities outside core paid media (e.g identifying growth loops), balancing speed with rigour with a test-and-learn approach to growth
- Experiment with non-traditional and emerging acquisition channels such as organic social, paid social beyond standard conversion campaigns, referral and virality, applying performance discipline to less structured channels.
- Contribute to monthly, quarterly and trading reviews with a focus on efficiency and scalable growth.
- Define our paid acquisition strategy, aligning to company goals and market priorities.
- Drive advertiser value by scaling quality traffic and ensuring Adzuna remains a key source of ROI for our partners.
Requirements
- 4+ years’ experience in performance marketing, with at least 2 years in a senior or lead role.
- Proven success scaling paid acquisition in a large-scale marketplace, affiliate, or multi-category business.
- Deep expertise in Google Ads and Bing; experience with Meta, Snap, TikTok is a plus
- Strong understanding of the full performance funnel, including remarketing and audience segmentation
- Experience contributing to or leading growth initiatives beyond core paid media (e.g. CRO, experimentation, new channels, product-led growth).
- Comfortable thinking in systems, growth loops and long-term value, not just last-click performance.
- Comfortable with marketing analytics, attribution models, payback period and LTV modelling
- Experience leading and developing a small team (1-2+ people)
- Highly analytical, with experience working with LTV, payback periods and cohort-based analysis.
- Strategic thinker with a bias for action and creative problem-solving
- Proficient in using AI tools to optimise performance, creative testing, and campaign efficiency
- Excellent communicator, collaborator, and influencer across cross-functional teams
- Curious, proactive and always looking for the next opportunity to move the needle.
- Comfortable operating in a fast-paced, scale-up environment with high ownership and accountability.
Benefits
- Reward: We offer a competitive financial package which includes a competitive salary, stock options (we are all owners!); access to a ‘Cycle to Work’ scheme and an electric vehicle scheme; and a contributory pension scheme
- Wellbeing: Amongst other things, we offer healthcare through Babylon Health; enhanced maternity and paternity leave; 25 days paid holiday per year plus 8 bank holidays; Summer hours - we finish at 4 pm on a Friday in July and August; three paid volunteering days; and free gym membership
- Hybrid working: We are a fully hybrid company - half our workforce is remote. With employees located in different time zones, we embrace asynchronous work and ensure that everything we do reflects the hybrid nature of our workforce so that everyone feels included. We also have a travel programme to help facilitate teamwork across our global teams.
- Flexible working: For those working out of one of our offices (non-remote), we have a flexible working policy which means any full-time employee can work from home 2 days per week - you can choose your office days. You can also request to work additional days from home.
- Diversity & Inclusion: We are committed to hiring a diverse workforce and creating an environment where everyone feels included and welcome. Our D&I committee helps deliver a programme of activities and actions to support this important area of focus.
- Training: Learning and development is an important pillar of our culture and there are plenty of opportunities to learn, develop and grow whether through our Adzuna Academy training programme, attending conferences, team training budgets, individual development plans and coaching from experienced and supportive peers and managers.
- Fun stuff: We have a packed social calendar, twice annual global team get-togethers and an enviable culture thanks to the amazing and smart people who make Adzuna a great place to work. Lots of this is done virtually to ensure that everyone is included.
