Social Media Manager

Missoma
Central London

At Missoma, we believe jewellery is more than just an accessory; it’s a form of self-expression. Founded in 2007 by Marisa Hordern, we’ve grown into a globally recognised brand known for our demi-fine and solid gold pieces, all designed in-house at our London studio and crafted with care.

We’re looking for an innovative, highly motivated, and creatively driven Social Media Manager to take our brand presence to the next level across all major social platforms. If you live and breathe social culture, understand what makes content perform, and are confident both behind and in front of the camera, all while being deeply customer‑focused and able to understand and speak to our core customer in everything we do across social, ensuring all content pays into our key customer brand pillars, we’d love to hear from you.

Why You’ll Love Working With Us

At Missoma, we live by three core values:

  • Authentic… We value honesty, open feedback, and conscious sustainability. You’ll be part of a team that genuinely cares about people and the planet.
  • Collaborative… Every voice matters. We foster inclusivity, creativity, and fun, working together to innovate and grow.
  • Entrepreneurial… We think big and act boldly. You’ll be encouraged to bring ideas, take initiative, and make a real impact.

The Role of the Social Media Manager

You’ll be at the heart of Missoma’s storytelling — creating, editing, and delivering social‑first content that inspires our community and elevates our brand. Working closely with our Founder & Creative Director and cross‑functional teams, you’ll shape how we show up across Instagram, TikTok, Pinterest, LinkedIn and YouTube. You’ll manage day‑to‑day channel activity, ensure every post reflects our brand vision, and speak directly to our core customer in everything you do. From ideation and copywriting to trend‑led content creation, you’ll turn insights into high‑performing assets while supporting the Head of Content Marketing on a best‑in‑class calendar for our UK and ROW markets.

The Social Media Manager's Responsibilities

Social Strategy & Planning:

  • Develop and deliver best‑in‑class social storytelling and long‑term strategy with the Head of Content Marketing.
  • Own the weekly and monthly social content calendar, leading campaigns and reactive content from concept to execution.
  • Align with Brand and PR teams to create a unified strategy that drives focus around key seasonal and product moments.

Content Creation:

  • Ideate and create innovative social‑first content (video, imagery, graphics) across TikTok, Instagram, Pinterest, LinkedIn, and YouTube.
  • Edit content for high‑quality, platform‑appropriate output and write engaging, brand‑aligned copy.
  • Act as guardian of the brand voice, reacting to cultural moments and trends.
  • Lead social shot lists, direct weekly content shoots, and collaborate with Creative and Studio teams.
  • Curate UGC, influencer content, and community posts; attend events and shoots to capture on‑platform content.
  • Manage live sessions with confidence and brand clarity.

Channel Management & Community:

  • Oversee daily channel operations including scheduling, publishing, and community engagement.
  • Brief cross‑functional teams to support asset creation, partnerships, and community‑driven storytelling.
  • Support ambassador and partnership campaigns while managing broadcast channels and engaging the community.

Influencers & Partnerships:

  • Support the rollout of ambassador and partnership campaigns across social channels.
  • Collaborate with the Paid Digital Marketing team to deliver social‑first creative and optimise performance.

Performance & Reporting:

  • Drive engagement and conversion; report on KPIs and use insights to guide content decisions.
  • Work closely with Paid Digital Marketing to optimise creative and stay ahead of platform changes.

What the Social Media Manager will bring:

  • Proven experience in a Social Media Manager role within a fast‑paced brand environment.
  • A genuine passion for social media and deep knowledge of platform features, trends, algorithms, creator culture, and emerging formats.
  • Demonstrated ability to write high‑quality social copy across tones, formats, and platforms.
  • Strong content editing skills, with hands‑on experience using CapCut, or similar tools.
  • Confidence presenting on camera, embodying and communicating brand personality authentically.
  • Excellent organisational and communication skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects at once.
  • A proactive, trend‑driven mindset with a love of experimentation and innovation.
  • Strong ability to collaborate effectively across cross‑functional teams.
  • Experience mentoring, developing, and nurturing talent within a team.

What the Social Media Manager will get:

  • Generous staff discount across our products and experiences
  • Hybrid working model with flexible hours at our West London HQ
  • Healthcare cash plan to support everyday wellbeing
  • Enhanced parental leave after two years of service
  • Annual paid volunteer day to give back to causes you care about
  • Monthly team socials and events
  • Access to cycle and tech schemes with easy monthly payments
