Location: Tower Hamlets - near Whitechapel Station

Contract: Full-time, long-term
Daily Rate: £90-£110 per day

About the Role

An inclusive and welcoming primary school in Tower Hamlets is seeking a dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to join their support team from 24th November. You'll be working closely with pupils in Key Stage 2, providing one-to-one and small group support for children with additional learning needs, including Autism and Speech and Language difficulties.

This is a rewarding opportunity for someone who is passionate about making a positive difference in children's learning experiences, helping every pupil reach their full potential in a nurturing school community.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide tailored one-to-one and small group support for pupils with SEN.

  • Work alongside the class teacher and SENCO to adapt learning activities.

  • Use strategies to support communication, social skills, and emotional regulation.

  • Monitor pupil progress and contribute to learning plans.

  • Encourage independence and confidence within the classroom.

Candidate Requirements

  • Previous experience working as an SEN Teaching Assistant or in a support role within a school.

  • Strong understanding of Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and learning differences.

  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.

  • Patient, calm, and proactive approach to supporting learning.

  • A passion for inclusive education and helping children succeed.
