Senior Creative Strategist

Acast
London

About Acast
Since 2014, Acast has been building the world’s most valuable podcast marketplace, creating the technology that connects podcast creators, advertisers, and listeners. Its marketplace spans more than 140,000 podcasts, 3,300 advertisers, and one billion quarterly listens. Crucially, those listens are monetized wherever they happen—across any podcast app or listening platform.

About the role

As Senior Creative Strategist you’ll be based within our award-winning creative team, Acast Creative, where you’ll be tasked with market-leading branded content campaigns, designing compelling pitches and developing cross-platform creative ideas grounded in sharp cultural insight across the UK and Ireland.

You will lead large-scale branded content campaigns from conception to completion: developing ideas, creating high-quality Google Slides responses, and bringing campaigns to life by owning all creative aspects of production, from writing treatments and directing talent, to working with internal and external production partners, whilst also supporting other members of the team.

You will be responsible for ensuring positive and productive collaborations with internal teams, developing strong working relationships with creators, clients and production partners, as well as maintaining a high standard of output through our campaigns.

What you’ll do

  • Create market-leading responses to branded content partnership briefs, anchored in podcasts across the Acast network.

  • Work with our Brand Partnerships team to manage campaigns through to delivery, including writing treatments, social frameworks, liaising with creators and production teams, and directing shoots, ensuring all deliverables are delivered on time and to a high standard.

  • Collaborate with other members of the Acast Creative team to shape and activate branded-content pitches and campaigns.

  • Be available to direct shoots or activate branded content campaigns sold by the wider team.

  • Work with Brand Partnerships and the Sales team to ensure creative resources are used efficiently.

  • Work with external partners on development and production, ensuring internal Acast Creative resources and shared folders are kept up to date.

  • Identify new formats, campaign types, and opportunities for Acast Creative to activate in, and introduce them into our ways of working.

  • Contribute to improving ways of working, ensuring we continue to evolve how we operate internally and with external partners.

  • Present internally, to clients, and at industry events on the creative possibilities within podcasting.

  • Support the growth of Acast Creative as the home of creative excellence for brands, working alongside senior team members to help shape direction.

Who you are

  • Someone with 2+ years experience of responding to client briefs within a media owner or agency environment.

  • You're a regular podcast listener who understands why the medium is so popular, and why podcast fans form such close relationships with their hosts.

  • You have a solid understanding of the podcast ecosystem and a strong awareness of the cultural zeitgeist.

  • You are confident working independently but also within a fast-paced team environment.

  • You are comfortable directing talent, and taking ownership of a set.

  • You have experience creating compelling responses to briefs, with sharp insights and detailed idea laydowns.

Location

While we operate with a high degree of trust and flexibility, the expectation for this role is to be in our London office for at least two days a week. Outside of this, you can work remotely, but the office remains open for those who prefer to come in full-time.

Culture

Acast is committed to creating a diverse environment and is proud to be an equal opportunity employer. All qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment regardless of race, gender, sexual orientation, religion, ethnicity, national origin or any of the other wonderful characteristics that make us different.

Culture is our number one priority as a business. We believe people come first, and we work every day to enable autonomy, continuous improvement and bring out the best in people. We’re global and have remote teams, so it’s even more important that we strive for an open, inclusive and caring environment where everyone feels visible and welcome.
