Commercial Gas Engineer

Job Type: Full-Time, Permanent

Salary: Up to £50,000 per year (negotiable, depending on experience and qualifications)

About the Role:

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Mobile Commercial Gas Engineer to join a well-established and growing Mechanical & Electrical Services company based in Sutton, Surrey.

You’ll be part of a small, highly skilled mobile team covering London, Greater London, and the South of England, providing general maintenance, reactive services, and corrective works across a range of commercial sites and building systems.

Key Responsibilities:

Carry out testing and inspection of mechanical systems in line with industry standards.

*

Ensure all plant and systems operate efficiently, reliably, and safely.

*

Perform remedial, refurbishment, and corrective maintenance following inspections or breakdowns.

*

Implement mechanical maintenance and repair work in accordance with maintenance instructions.

*

Undertake minor new works installations and associated testing.

Skills & Experience:

*

Fully qualified and experienced Commercial Gas Engineer with strong communication skills.

*

Full, clean UK driving licence (maximum 3 points).

*

Proven background in mechanical maintenance and building services.

Essential/Desirable Gas Qualifications:

*

BMP1 – Boosters (low pressure)

*

CCN1 – Core Domestic Gas Safety

*

CDGA1 – Commercial Direct Fired Heating

*

CIGA1 – Commercial Indirect Fired Heating

*

CODNCO1 – Changeover Domestic to Commercial

*

CPA1 – Combustion Performance Analysis

*

ICPN1 – Installation of Commercial Pipework

*

TPCP1A – Testing & Purging of Low-Pressure Commercial Pipework

*

CORT1 – Commercial Overhead Radiant Tube/ Plaque Heaters (desirable)
