Electronics Engineering Manager – Dartford

£50,000-£60,000 | Depending on experience

A new and exciting opportunity has arisen for an Engineering Manager to join a UK known Electronics manufacturer in the Dartford area!

With no day ever being the same the Engineering Manager will be working within an exciting and innovative industry that offers genuine long term progression.

Role & Responsibilities:

• Delivering BOM’s, programs, SOP’s and Maintenance tasks on time in full and to the required quality standard.
• Managing day to day activities of the production engineering department.
• Developing staff at all levels to maintain and improve the skill levels to ensure continuity and succession.
• Implementing improvement activities to increase efficiencies using Lean Manufacturing Techniques, Kanban, 5’s
• Manage a suite of KPI’s measuring efficiency and performance of the Production Engineering department are met and target driven
• Implement and drive continuous improvement activities through change management processes and best practice
• Maintaining the integrity of the manufacturing processes with lean, cost effective strategies that meet the organization’s needs.
• Executing the duties of the position such that the focus is largely proactive versus reactive.

Knowledge, Skills & Experience:

• Bachelor degree in Engineering, prefer Manufacturing or Electrical/Electronic
• Experience in the Electronics manufacturing industry
• Experience of driving continuous quality improvement in a manufacturing environment
• Significant experience in managing a team of production engineers
• Good understanding of a product realisation process with a specific focus on delivery of the production operations through One Piece Flow/Kanban/Batch manufacturing.
• Experience and thorough understanding of using and implementing Lean Manufacturing principles
