Planning Coordinator
Planning Coordinator – Power Division (Office-Based, Ruislip)
Location: Ruislip
Employment Type: Full-time, PAYE
We’re growing – and we’re looking for an experienced Planning Coordinator with Street works experience to join our Power Division in Ruislip.
In this role, you’ll support our Project Management team on major infrastructure projects, taking ownership of programme planning, permit coordination and ensuring our works run smoothly and compliantly. If you’re organised, proactive and confident working in a fast-moving environment, we’d love to hear from you.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Working with Project Managers to build programmes of work, plotting activity via KMZ drawings
- Keeping planning schedules updated and accurate
- Submitting and managing permits via the OCU Streetworks team
- Liaising with local authorities to ensure full compliance with permit requirements
- Organising bus stop and parking bay suspensions where needed
- Booking Traffic Management in line with permit stipulations
- Updating SharePoint, issuing permit start/stop details and submitting R1s based on reinstatement updates
- Attending project team progress meetings
Daily Responsibilities
- Amending and updating live programmes of work
- Maintaining trackers and adding activity to the civils schedule
- Receiving site updates to confirm completion and readiness for reinstatement
- Liaising with civils supervisors on variations, work stoppages and R1 submissions
- Scheduling TM removal
- Ensuring utility stats are current ahead of upcoming works
- Raising purchase orders with procurement for planned works
What You’ll Bring
- Strong working knowledge of MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and Street Manager
- Proven experience managing Streetworks permits
- Understanding of NRSWA requirements and permit conditions
- Ability to work independently and within a collaborative team environment
- Excellent communication, organisation and stakeholder management skills
- Experience planning major works schemes is highly desirable
