Africa Growth Manager - EU/UK

About Us

We’re building the world’s leading cross-border fintech for emerging markets - empowering families, fueling local economies, and changing how millions access financial services.

Since our launch in 2019, we have transformed how money moves across borders with our operations spanning 6 out of 7 continents and covering both the busiest and most underserved (remittance) corridors. We tapped into a massive shift - from banks to phones - bringing digital finance to places where traditional systems never reached. The next stage of growth will fuel a network of services and products especially designed to make money more accessible to diaspora communities including local cards, and additional savings and payments features.

We’re growing fast, backed by world-class investors, and scaling a product that blends real world impact with cutting edge fintech innovation .

Here’s a little more:

  • Founded by Harvard grads and 3-time founders who previously built Segovia (acquired) and GiveDirectly (>$300M revenue, fastest-growing NGO in the world)

  • Backed by top investors including Spark Capital, Canaan, Reid Hoffman, Breyer Capital, Unbound, Wamda, and more

  • Built by global top performers from Bain, Google, McKinsey, Uber, Checkout, Bolt, and beyond - we move fast, stay humble, and care deeply about our mission

  • Truly global team - 250+ people, 50+ nationalities, 50+ languages

  • Guided by our values - ownership, impact, humility, and heart - in deed, not just word

The Role

Your role will be to boost the growth of TTS in the EU/UK-Africa corridor. You will work to continue launching TTS within various African diaspora communities in the UK/EU and build a comprehensive growth (customer acquisition and retention) strategy across the corridor. You will conduct customer research; execute partnerships and events; set up offline and online advertising/brand awareness campaigns; source and coordinate community ambassadors, champions and influencers; measure operational efficiency and financials for the corridor; manage CRM tools; resolve low-level customer complaints, provide CS and Product & Ops teams input into strategies to improve product quality, as well as customer experience. Reporting to the Head of Africa, you'll combine great sales and marketing prowess with a data-driven test-and-learn mindset. You'll be a creative thinker who is always looking for ways to hack growth.

The role offers the chance to join a high growth startup and to have a positive impact on the communities we serve. You will be expected to have deep knowledge of, and networks into African diaspora communities, a passion to support your community, an entrepreneurial spirit, great interpersonal skills, and superb project management.

  • Manage agencies for Paid, Creatives, and Events

  • Manage customers' CRM, segmented by corridor and community

  • Optimize Operations with help from Product, Ops, Eng and Support teams

  • Deep dive into customer pain points by corridor and work with the different teams as well as the Africa Corridor Lead to solve them

  • Travel across UK/EU to connect with and better understand African diaspora communities and grow our customer base

  • Dedicate part of your time to call customers and respond to messages/comments across our owned media channels

  • Work with the Head of Africa to outline the growth plan for each market, including the growth strategy, monthly budget, targets, CAC, and CRM campaigns

Requirements

  • Based in London or EU

  • 4–5 years of experience in a high-growth environment such as startups, marketing, or fintechs

  • Strong business development/sales/marketing/analytical background

  • Experience with organic and inorganic marketing activities

  • Having contacts with African influencers and celebrities in the UK or EU is a plus

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to engage authentically across diverse African communities

  • Passion for working with and for migrant communities

  • Resourceful with the ability to get things done — doing "more" with "less"
