Java Developer with ION trading platform experience
Our client is seeking a Java Developer with experience working on the ION trading platform, to join their team for a freelance B2B contract that is expected to last for an initial 12-month period with a chance of extension. This position is hybrid and will require you to have 3 days per week on-site in London with 2 day remote.

Skills and Responsibilities:
- 10+ years of professional Java development experience
- Strong knowledge of low-latency, multi-threaded programming techniques
- Experience with trading platforms (eg, Bloomberg, Tradeweb)
- Understanding of financial markets, particularly Rates and Credit bonds/derivatives
- Outstanding experience and knowledge with ION platform
- Expertise in object-oriented design patterns and SOLID principles
- Experience with functional programming concepts.
- Proven track record in Agile development environments
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
- Experience with Spring Framework and RESTful API
- Cloud experience
