This is a varied, practical role suited to someone who takes pride in maintaining safe, clean, and well-functioning facilities.

Working alongside the wider premises team, you will help ensure the school site remains operational and ready for daily use.

Key Areas of Responsibility

The Premises Officer will support the smooth running of the site by maintaining facilities and responding to routine operational needs.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Carrying out routine inspections of buildings and equipment

  • Completing basic maintenance and minor repair work

  • Monitoring fire alarms, security systems, and lighting

  • Maintaining cleanliness and safety across outdoor areas

You will also support health and safety routines by identifying potential hazards and reporting maintenance concerns.

About the Setting

This independent school in Fulham operates across a well-maintained site and places strong emphasis on presentation and safety. The premises team works to ensure classrooms, offices, and shared areas are kept to a high standard throughout the school week.

The successful candidate will demonstrate:

  • Previous experience in premises, caretaking, or maintenance roles

  • Ability to carry out basic repairs safely

  • Awareness of health and safety procedures

  • Good organisational and time management skills

  • Reliability and attention to detail

  • Confidence working independently when required

Experience within a school or similar environment would be advantageous.
