Position: Head of Product – Innovative Brand
Location: London – Hybrid 3 days/week in the office
Salary: £95,000 + Bonus
This is a senior leadership role responsible for shaping and delivering the end-to-end product strategy for an innovative, trend-led brand. From early concept through to launch and lifecycle management, you will oversee the full product ecosystem—ensuring every product is desirable, commercially successful, and aligned with brand direction.
You will combine creativity with commercial rigour, translating consumer insight and market trends into compelling, high-performing product ranges. As the driving force behind product innovation, you will lead cross-functional teams and external partners to consistently deliver products that excite customers and strengthen brand equity.
What You’ll Be Responsible For
Defining the Product Direction
You will set the long-term vision for the product portfolio, identifying where the brand can win and how it should evolve. This includes building a forward-looking roadmap that balances innovation with core range development, ensuring continued relevance in a competitive, design-led market.
A key part of this role is staying closely connected to the consumer—leveraging insights, data, and cultural trends to inform decision-making and unlock new opportunities.
Building a Strong, Commercial Product Range
Working closely with Commercial, Merchandising, and Sales teams, you will shape a product assortment that delivers against both brand ambition and financial targets. This includes defining pricing architecture, product mix, and launch strategies to maximise performance across channels.
You will ensure that innovation is purposeful—introducing newness that drives growth while maintaining a disciplined, commercially viable range.
Leading Teams and Ways of Working
You will lead and develop a multidisciplinary team across product, design, engineering, compliance, and sourcing. Creating clarity, accountability, and collaboration across these functions will be critical.
In parallel, you will establish and refine product development processes that enable efficiency, consistency, and scalability—ensuring all teams are aligned from concept through to delivery.
You will also manage and inspire external partners, including design agencies and suppliers, to deliver best-in-class outcomes.
Delivering Product to Market
From initial idea to final production, you will be accountable for execution. This includes managing timelines, mitigating risks, and ensuring products are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest standards.
You will work closely with manufacturing partners to continuously improve production methods, cost efficiency, and product quality—while maintaining a strong focus on innovation and craftsmanship.
Ensuring Quality, Compliance and Feasibility
You will provide leadership across technical and regulatory areas, ensuring all products meet global standards and are viable to produce at scale.
Balancing design intent with engineering reality, you will guide teams to develop products that are both aesthetically compelling and technically robust.
What We’re Looking For
- Significant experience in product management within consumer goods, with a track record of progression into senior leadership
- Experience leading and developing teams across creative and/or technical disciplines
- Proven success in bringing new products to market that deliver measurable commercial impact
- Strong commercial awareness, including experience with costing, margins, and forecasting
- Solid understanding of manufacturing processes and supply chain dynamics, with a hands-on approach to problem-solving
- Background in a design-led, lifestyle, or fashion-oriented brand environment
- Ability to translate consumer insight and trends into tangible product opportunities
- Comfortable operating cross-functionally and influencing senior stakeholders
- Willingness to travel internationally as required
