Host/Hostess

Earnings : £12.63 + service charge (up to £16h)

Location : London, EC2M 3YD

Contract type : Permanent, minimum 30 hours per week, shifts falling between 9am and 11pm. Previous experience as a restaurant host is required.

As a Host/Hostess you will be the first and last point of contact with guests at the restaurant and responsible for greeting, seating, and saying goodbye to guests as well as maintaining the flow of the restaurant during service. A Host diligently and efficiently manages reservations, walk-ins, and seating in Eataly’s restaurants as well as supporting the events team with large bookings enquiries.

What you will be doing...

• Greet guests with a warm welcome and provide a friendly first impression.
• Manage reservations and seating arrangements efficiently.
• Communicate with the front-of-house and kitchen teams to ensure smooth service.
• Maintain a clean and organized host stand and entrance area.
• Assist with takeout orders and phone inquiries as needed.
• Uphold excellent customer service standards and resolve guest concerns with professionalism.

• Previous experience working in a high-volume restaurant, managing bookings and reservations, is a key requirement for this role.
• Strong communication and multitasking skills.
• Confident speaking with guests over the phone, via email and face-to-face.
• Ability to remain calm and organised in a fast-paced environment.
• Availability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed, as we cannot offer set shifts or days off.
• A positive and welcoming attitude.
