About the Role

A highly regarded and inclusive primary school in Mile End, East London , is seeking a committed and enthusiastic Primary Teacher to join its professional teaching team. This is a full-time, permanent role , suitable for both experienced teachers and newly qualified teachers (ECTs) who are passionate about delivering outstanding education in a diverse, urban community.

The successful candidate will be responsible for a class in either Key Stage 1 or Key Stage 2 , planning, delivering, and assessing high-quality lessons that inspire pupils and promote academic, social, and personal development. Key Responsibilities

As a Primary Teacher in Mile End, your responsibilities will include:

  • Planning, preparing, and delivering engaging and challenging lessons across the curriculum in line with the National Curriculum

  • Creating a safe, inclusive, and stimulating learning environment that supports all pupils

  • Differentiating lessons to meet the needs of pupils of varying abilities, including SEN and EAL learners

  • Using formative and summative assessments to monitor progress and inform planning

  • Maintaining high expectations for behaviour, effort, and achievement

  • Supporting pupils’ social, emotional, and personal development alongside academic progress

  • Working collaboratively with Teaching Assistants, SENCOs, and senior leaders to implement targeted interventions

  • Participating in pupil progress meetings, curriculum planning, and school-wide initiatives

  • Communicating effectively with parents and carers regarding pupil progress, achievements, and any concerns

  • Keeping accurate records of pupil performance, behaviour, and assessment data

  • Actively participating in staff meetings, CPD sessions, and professional development opportunities

  • Upholding safeguarding, child protection, and school policies at all times

The Ideal Candidate

The school is looking for a Primary Teacher who:

  • Holds Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)

  • Has experience teaching in KS1 or KS2 (ECTs welcome)

  • Demonstrates excellent classroom management and a positive, consistent approach to behaviour

  • Is committed to inclusive education , supporting pupils from diverse backgrounds

  • Can differentiate lessons effectively to meet the needs of all learners

  • Is reflective, proactive, and committed to professional growth

  • Has strong communication and interpersonal skills with pupils, parents, and colleagues

  • Works collaboratively as part of a professional teaching team

  • Is passionate about making a lasting difference in children’s learning and development

Experience supporting pupils with SEN, EAL, or additional learning needs is highly desirable but not essential.
