Customer Manager (Hybrid work, 80-100% working degree)

About the Role
Reporting to Head Customer Management UK&I, you'll be the vital bridge between Swiss Re's comprehensive capabilities and our corporate clients' evolving risk challenges.With a strong focus on new business development, you'll have the exciting opportunity to leverage the entire Swiss Re Group's expertise to identify growth opportunities, attract new clients, and deliver sophisticated solutions that address major trends and reshape the risk landscape for our clients.
Key Responsibilities
- Establish and nurture meaningful relationships with assigned and prospect customers and their brokers
- Drive new business development by identifying and pursuing growth opportunities with new and existing clients
- Develop deep understanding of customers' needs across risk transfer, risk insights, and risk partnerships to translate them into executable opportunities
- Lead and inspire cross-functional collaboration to deliver the best value propositions for our clients
- Leverage data & analytics in customer engagement plans, delivering a consultative approach that sets us apart
- Maintain high quality customer information including strategic engagement plans in CRM system

Our team operates from approximately 50 locations worldwide, offering innovative insurance solutions to large and midsized multinational corporations. We are a small, impactful team based in London. About You
You're a forward-thinking, curious professional who thrives on building relationships and turning innovative ideas into practical solutions. With excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills, you can confidently engage in challenging conversations with both internal and external stakeholders. You're a self-starter with a proven track record in business origination who takes initiative and implements measures in a goal-oriented manner.
We are looking for candidates who meet these requirements:
- Deep understanding and experience of relationship management and new business development, preferably within financial services, consulting, insurance, broking and/or industrial corporates
- Solid experience with originating, developing, and binding complex transactions, including, property, casualty, international insurance programmes and alternative risk transfer solutions
- Advanced analytical skills, with the ability to share insights and tell a compelling story
- Project management skills with ability to coordinate and lead cross-functional initiatives and teams
- Broad industry network with key partners including corporate risk managers and brokers
- Knowledge of emerging risks and trends affecting corporate clients
For London, the annual base salary range for this position is between GBP 88 000 and GBP 132 000 (for a full-time role). The specific salary offered considers:
- the requirements, scope, complexity and responsibilities of the role,
- the applicant's own profile including education/qualifications, expertise, specialisation, skills and experience.
In addition to your base salary, Swiss Re offers an attractive performance-based variable compensation component, designed to recognise your achievements. Further you will enjoy a variety of global and location specific benefits.
