Residential Property Solicitor

Key Responsibilities in Residential Property Solicitor Role
- Independently managing a diverse portfolio of residential property transactions, including sales, purchases, remortgages, transfers of equity, and leasehold and freehold matters.
- Drafting and analysing contracts and legal documents associated with residential property transactions.
- Conducting thorough property due diligence, title checks, searches, and preparing detailed reports on findings for clients.
- Communicating effectively with clients, solicitors, estate agents, lenders, and other parties to ensure transactions progress smoothly from instruction to completion.
- Handling all post-completion procedures, including HM Land Registry applications and SDLT submissions.
- Upholding regulatory compliance and Anti-Money Laundering (AML) requirements throughout the conveyancing process.
- Ensuring excellent client care, maintaining clear, timely and professional correspondence at all stages of the transaction.
Essential Skills and Experience for Residential Conveyancing
- Qualified Solicitor (or Licensed Conveyancer or CILEX) in England & Wales, with at least three years’ PQE managing a residential conveyancing caseload independently.
- Up-to-date knowledge of current property law, practice, and regulatory compliance.
- Proven ability to handle a high-volume caseload with minimal supervision.
- Exceptional attention to detail, analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Proficient communicator with strong client focus and the ability to build trusted relationships.
- Experience with conveyancing case management systems and a confident user of Microsoft Office applications.
- Team player with a positive, collaborative approach and commitment to continuous professional development.
