Technical Lead - (Python, Azure, AI / Agentic systems)

We champion human connection and face to face collaboration, so work in a hybrid way, with two days a week onsite in our London (Farringdon) office.
Role:
The Technical Lead will oversee the day-to-day delivery of the workstream, partnering closely with the architecture team to define and own the technical direction for AI and Agentic capabilities on Azure using python, within a key client programme. The role sits closely with both business and technical teams, translating defined requirements into delivered solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
Own delivery, pace, and technical quality for a defined workstream
Partner with architecture on AI / agentic approach on Azure
Lead technical design in Python; own key technical decisions
Engage with workstream business stakeholders
Mentor engineers and raise the engineering bar
Observe client policy and regulatory context that shapes delivery requirements
Required Skills / Experience:
Strong hands-on Python skills
Production experience on Azure (AKS, Functions, App Service, or equivalent)
Designing and building AI / agentic systems (LLM orchestration, tool use, RAG, evaluation)
Prior Technical Lead experience on delivery-focused teams
Comfortable working with architects and business stakeholders
Experience working in client facing roles, with the ability to engage with UK-based client stakeholders
Desirable Experience:
UK energy / utilities sector experience
MLOps / LLMOps experience on Azure
Consulting / client-embedded delivery background
