Year 5 Teacher | Primary School in Barnet
A thriving and community-focused primary school in Barnet is seeking an inspiring and dedicated Year 5 Teacher to join their talented team from January 2026 . This is a full-time position , initially offered on a fixed-term contract until July 2026 , with a strong commitment from the school to make the role permanent from September 2026 . Key Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver high-quality, engaging, and well-structured lessons that stretch, challenge, and support all learners in Year 5.
- Use a strong understanding of the upper KS2 curriculum to deliver creative and ambitious learning experiences.
- Monitor, assess, and track progress, using data to inform planning and ensure every pupil makes strong academic gains.
- Differentiate effectively to support pupils with varying abilities, including those with SEN, EAL, or additional learning needs.
- Establish a positive, inclusive, and stimulating classroom environment where pupils feel valued, confident, and motivated.

Candidate Requirements
• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
• Experience teaching in Key Stage 2, ideally in upper KS2
• Strong curriculum knowledge, including assessment and differentiation
• Excellent communication, organisation, and classroom management skills
• A creative and reflective approach to teaching and learning
• Commitment to inclusion, high expectations, and continuous school improvement
