A welcoming primary school in Peckham is looking for a committed Special Educational Needs Co-ordinator to join their team. This full-time position is available from October 2025, with flexibility to start in January 2026.

About the role

  • Be part of a vibrant 2-3 form entry primary school graded Good by Ofsted.

  • Lead on SEN provision across the school, ensuring every child receives the support they need to flourish.

  • Collaborate with an approachable Senior Leadership Team and a team of on-site specialists including Speech & Language, Occupational, and Play Therapists.

  • Benefit from ongoing training and opportunities for professional growth.

Key responsibilities

  • Oversee and develop SEND provision throughout the school.

  • Work in partnership with staff, parents, and external agencies.

  • Manage EHCPs, interventions, and personalised learning plans.

  • Support teachers in embedding inclusive practice and high-quality SEN provision.

Person specification

  • Ideally, at least one year of SENCO experience within a mainstream school.

  • A strong commitment to supporting pupils with additional needs.

  • Excellent communication, organisational, and leadership skills.

  • Openness to further training if required.
