Senior License Business Development Manager (12 Month FTC)
- Deal Management: Lead end-to-end licensing efforts, including identifying, sourcing, negotiating, and finalising inbound and outbound licensing agreements.
- Performance Management: Monitor and report on performance of licensing agreements and partnerships to ensure compliance and achievement of commercial targets.
- Cross-functional Collaboration: Collaborate closely with legal, marketing, product development, R&D, and finance teams to integrate licensing strategies with broader company initiatives.
- Stakeholder Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with internal stakeholders, particularly within Design and Merchandising, to ensure brand consistency and product excellence.
- Product Development: Support the Licensing Manager with the development of licensed product categories from initial design concept through final launch, ensuring all products meet brand standards and market demands.
- Market Analysis & Insights: Conduct in-depth market and competitor research to identify emerging trends, evaluate product opportunities, and provide strategic recommendations to the CCO and leadership team.
- Financial Accountability: Define annual royalty targets and contribute to the development of the 3-year strategic plan in collaboration with the CCO. Monitor quarterly performance against budget, identify potential risks and opportunities, and implement strategies to maximize revenue.
- Reporting & Communication: Conduct comprehensive analyses of quarterly licensing reports, highlighting key performance drivers, identifying areas for improvement, and presenting findings to the CCO and executive management.
- Partner Relationship Management: Organize and lead regular update meetings with licensing partners, ensuring Stella McCartney's interests are represented and that partners are aligned with the brand's strategic objectives. Support the CCO in nurturing strong, collaborative relationships with key partners.
- Approval Oversight: Oversee all account approvals for licensed products, ensuring compliance with brand guidelines and quality standards. Internal Alignment: Maintain and strengthen relationships with Stella McCartney's buying and retail teams to drive the success of licensed categories, including the development of incentive programs and training materials.
- PR Collaboration: Collaborate with the PR department to ensure licensed products are effectively integrated into seasonal gifting initiatives and other promotional activities.
- Strategic Planning: Lead the development and implementation of strategic priorities, plans, and initiatives for each licensing category.
- Budget Management: Manage the licensing budget, ensuring adherence to financial guidelines, monitoring expenses, and identifying opportunities for cost optimization.
- Exceptional presentation and communication skills, with the ability to confidently present to senior management and external partners.
- Strong commercial and financial acumen, with a proven track record in key account management and contract negotiation.
- Demonstrated ability to build and maintain effective, professional relationships with individuals and teams both internally and externally.
- Deep understanding of the luxury fashion industry and a passion for the Stella McCartney brand.
- Proven ability to work under pressure, manage multiple priorities, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook).
