About the School:
A well-established school in Wimbledon is seeking an experienced Facilities Manager to take responsibility for the effective management of its premises and facilities.
The successful candidate will work closely with school leadership to maintain a safe, secure, compliant, and well-presented environment for pupils, staff, and visitors.
Key Responsibilities:
Oversee the day-to-day operation of school facilities.
Manage planned and reactive maintenance programmes.
Coordinate contractors and external service providers.
Conduct regular inspections of the school estate.
Monitor health and safety and compliance requirements.
Oversee cleaning, waste management, and general site presentation.
Manage site security and access arrangements.
Maintain facilities, maintenance, and compliance records.
Coordinate repairs and follow up outstanding works.
Assist with emergency planning and school events.
Requirements:
Proven experience in facilities, estates, premises, or property management.
Strong knowledge of building maintenance and site operations.
Good understanding of health and safety requirements.
Experience managing contractors.
Excellent organisational and communication skills.
Ability to manage multiple priorities.
Proactive approach to identifying and resolving site issues.
