Nursery Play Worker
Action Staffing is looking for energetic, fun, and reliable Nursery Play Workers to join various nursery settings across South East London. This is a fantastic entry-level opportunity for anyone who loves working with children and wants to start a career in childcare.
About the Role: As a Play Worker, your main job is to make sure the children are safe, happy, and having fun! You will support the Nursery Practitioners in setting up activities, supervising play, and ensuring a positive environment. You do not need a formal qualification for this role, just the right attitude. Key Responsibilities: Play Support: Engage with children during indoor and outdoor play, encouraging them to share and be kind. Activities: Help set up exciting activities like arts and crafts, messy play, and story time. Care: Assist with snack times and lunch duties, ensuring good hygiene is maintained. Safety: Supervise children at all times to ensure they are safe and secure. Teamwork: Support the room leaders with tidying up and organizing resources. Entry Requirements: No formal qualifications required (although Level 2 is a bonus). A genuine passion for working with children. Energetic, patient, and reliable. Must be willing to undergo an Enhanced DBS check. Previous experience in babysitting, volunteering, or a nursery setting is desirable but not essential.
