Brand Manager
About the Company
Vanquish Fitness was created in 2015 by two school friends, Oliver Maloney and Ruben O’Brien, and is now, not just an apparel brand and online retailer, but one of the fastest growing fitness communities in the world! Our mission is to inspire our colleagues on their pursuit of self-defined greatness. Providing the time and resources that our employees need to strive to become Better Than Yesterday .
About the Role
We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Brand Manager to join until April 2027. This is a senior, commercially accountable role reporting directly to the founders, responsible for leading and elevating the global Vanquish brand, with a primary focus on the UK market.
This role requires strong strategic thinking combined with disciplined execution. You will be responsible for defining and delivering the campaign roadmap, managing brand projects end-to-end, and ensuring initiatives are executed on time, within budget and to a high creative standard.
You will own brand P&L accountability, campaign ROI and revenue contribution targets, while leading and developing a small brand team. This position requires clear prioritisation, structured planning, and the ability to manage multiple concurrent workstreams in a fast-paced, performance-driven DTC environment.
We are looking for someone who combines creative instinct with operational excellence — a leader who can set direction, build clear plans, manage resource effectively and drive measurable commercial outcomes.
Duties and Responsibilities
-Strategic Brand Leadership: Define and lead the short and mid-term brand strategy, ensuring all campaigns, messaging and activations align with Vanquish’s identity, values and commercial objectives.
-Campaign & Project Management Ownership: Own the full campaign calendar and critical path, managing projects from initial concept through to launch and post-launch evaluation. Establish clear timelines, deliverables, responsibilities and approval processes to ensure seamless execution across departments.
-Operational Planning & Resource Management: Plan brand activity in line with business trading priorities, managing workload allocation across the Brand Assistant and Creative Producer. Ensure projects are delivered efficiently, with clear milestone tracking and risk mitigation.
-External Agency & Channel Alignment: Act as the primary brand lead when working with our external agency, Prospa, ensuring email marketing and paid advertising activity are fully aligned to brand strategy and campaign objectives. Provide clear briefs, strategic direction and brand guardrails to the agency, formally review and sign off all email and paid ad creative prior to launch, and ensure messaging consistency across channels. Work closely with internal creative resource to guarantee all required content assets are produced in line with agency briefs, deadlines and performance requirements.
-Commercial Accountability & Budget Control: Take ownership of brand-related budgets, revenue contribution targets and campaign ROI. Track spend against forecast, assess performance regularly and make data-led adjustments to maximise return.
-Team Leadership & Performance Management: Manage, mentor and develop the Brand team through clear objective setting, structured feedback and regular performance reviews. Drive accountability, raise standards and create clarity around roles and expectations.
-Community Growth & Engagement: Develop structured plans to strengthen and scale the Vanquish community through events, activations and digital engagement initiatives that contribute to retention and repeat purchase.
-Creative Direction & Storytelling: Lead the development of compelling brand narratives and product storytelling frameworks, ensuring strong creative cohesion across all outputs while maintaining commercial focus.
-Brand Governance & Consistency: Act as the guardian of brand standards, implementing processes to maintain consistency across campaigns, social, influencer activity and digital channels.
-Data & Performance Analysis: Review campaign performance, revenue growth, repeat rate and engagement metrics. Translate insight into actionable improvements and ensure learning is embedded into future planning cycles.
-Influencer & Partnership Management: Oversee athlete and influencer strategy, ensuring clear objectives, deliverables and performance expectations are set and reviewed.
-Cross-Functional Alignment: Work closely with Finance (budget oversight and reporting), Creative (execution and resource planning), Performance Marketing (amplification and optimisation), and E-commerce (launch coordination) to ensure brand initiatives are integrated and commercially effective.
