Account Director
This is a rare and incredible opportunity with an award winning, industry leading agency, Seen Studios. We are on the lookout for an Account Director to help us build outstanding client relationships and commercially grow a portfolio of clients.
The AD will hold overall responsibility for a number of accounts within the agency and support leading a team of projects managers of varying levels with account and project development. Reporting into the Client Services Director, they will also support the growth of all other existing clients and explore and develop new business opportunities. Primary responsibilities include client servicing, their accounts financial planning, business development, client communications, with an overarching aim to drive account growth and guide the wider team on how to achieve potential on all projects.
The Account Director will be required to pro-actively identify clients’ needs and propose to the CSD how to promote the agency’s ideas and benefits to strategies against these. The AD will be expected to support pitching to clients, so a very confident and assertive attitude is necessary.
The agency depends on the AD to give their accounts growth and maintain a clear strategy to achieve the very best outcome for the client.
Ultimately, they should be able to increase sales and build successful long-term client relationships in this excitingly progressive agency.
Responsibilities:
Account leadership
• Ensures brand consistency and excellence in account management
• Pro-active in leadership that encourages cross agency teams to perform to the best of their ability
• Generates accurate reports and status notifications for projects
• Uses knowledge and skills to push clients, the team, and the agency in the most productive direction
• Responsible for the client account plan annually, identifing opportunities for growth, recognising and mitigating challenges and creating a clear action plan to achieve the account ambition and goals.
Strategic Development and Planning
• Takes responsibility for developing strategy and proposals with limited support from senior team
• Has regular communication and liaison with CSD and SCD, with a bi-weekly hour catch up with the Head of P&P
• Is seen as the strategic partner for clients and their brands, with a flexible working nature
Finance and forecasting
• Delivers against and achieves sales targets with support from the Senior Project Management team and drives specific performance metrics, aligned with business strategies
• Produces and monitors accurate and clear account forecasts ready for month end with Senior Leadership team
• Adhoc reporting on sales results with suggested improvements for their accounts
Business Development
• Proactively identifies opportunities for growth amongst existing accounts and seeks to achieve this growth independently
• Works closely with and CSD to explore opportunities outside of the traditional and physical retail landscape
• Takes a key role in developing new business pitch responses
• Supports the CSD and MD with new business opportunities as and when required
Communication and presentation
• Uses client feedback to improve customer experience
• Pitches fresh and innovative ideas to clients alongside the MD, Strategic Creative Director and design team
• Takes responsibility for generating proposals and presentations with minimal support from Senior management
Requirements:
• Significant experience in professional client relationship management
• Experience in growing (multiple) existing and new accounts
• A solid background in retail, experiential and design or marketing
• The ability to plan and strategise at a senior level
• A persuasive and confident approach to creative projects
• Excellent written and oral communication skills
• A keen attention to detail and budgetary restraints
• Full awareness of creative processes and techniques – including digital platforms
• The ability to work as an authoritative figure in a busy team
• Ability to read and evaluate sales performance metrics
• Experience of handling multiple large budgets
• Excellent communication skills with a customer service attitude
• Strong analytical and organization skills
