Smart Teachers is seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Maths Teacher to join a thriving East London secondary school for a January to April placement

About the role

  • Deliver engaging and differentiated Maths lessons to KS3–KS4 pupils

  • Plan, mark, and assess in line with department expectations

  • Contribute to the wider Maths department and participate in curriculum development

  • Maintain strong classroom management and foster a positive learning environment

  • Attend relevant meetings, parents’ evenings, and professional development sessions

Requirements

To be considered for the role of Maths Teacher you will:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
  • Strong subject knowledge and ability to teach Maths up to GCSE
  • Previous secondary school teaching experience in the UK
  • Ability to engage and motivate students of varying abilities
  • A valid enhanced DBS or willingness to undergo one

Salary is dependent on experience, training or qualifications. The minimum experience, training or qualifications required for this position are:

  • Suitable teaching experience
