Senior Industry Expert, Sales Acceleration & Go-to-Market Strategy

Moody's
London

At Moody's, we unite the brightest minds to turn today’s risks into tomorrow’s opportunities. We do this by striving to create an inclusive environment where everyone feels welcome to be who they are—with the freedom to exchange ideas, think innovatively, and listen to each other and customers in meaningful ways. Moody’s is transforming how the world sees risk. As a global leader in ratings and integrated risk assessment, we’re advancing AI to move from insight to action—enabling intelligence that not only understands complexity but responds to it. We decode risk to unlock opportunity, helping our clients navigate uncertainty with clarity, speed, and confidence.

If you are excited about this opportunity but do not meet every single requirement, please apply! You still may be a great fit for this role or other open roles. We are seeking candidates who model our values: invest in every relationship, lead with curiosity, champion diverse perspectives, turn inputs into actions, and uphold trust through integrity.

Skills and Competencies

  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in a client-facing, pre-sales, consulting, or product strategy role within the enterprise software, data analytics, or information services industries
  • Deep subject matter expertise in Master Data Management (MDM) as it applies to sales and marketing use cases, including CRM data enrichment, lead generation, account planning, and go-to-market strategy
  • Comprehensive understanding of the sales and marketing technology stack (e.g., CRM, sales intelligence, marketing automation) and third-party data integration patterns. Direct experience with the Salesforce ecosystem is a major plus
  • A proven ability to operate as a trusted advisor in complex and lengthy sales cycles. Demonstrated experience in the technical sales of complex data, software, or SaaS solutions to senior-level stakeholders
  • Strong understanding of artificial intelligence concepts, particularly Generative AI and its practical applications in business workflows. Hands-on experience using AI tools is highly valued
  • Exceptional communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills with the ability to articulate complex concepts to both technical and C-level executive audiences
  • Ability to travel up to 40% to engage with clients, partners, and attend industry events

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Business, Marketing, or a related field required
  • Advanced degree (MBA or equivalent) preferred

Responsibilities

We are seeking an experienced professional to serve as a Senior Industry Expert focused on Sales & Marketing, Master Data Management (MDM), and Go-to-Market (GTM) Strategy. The ideal candidate will:

  • Act as a senior subject matter expert and trusted advisor to clients and prospects on data-driven sales, marketing, and go-to-market best practices
  • Partner closely with sales teams and strategic partners to drive complex pre-sales engagements from qualification through deal closure
  • Lead solution architecture efforts by analysing client GTM processes, sales workflows, and data challenges
  • Elevate proposals and proofs-of-concept by demonstrating how Moody’s data, analytics, and GenAI capabilities accelerate revenue growth
  • Develop and deliver impactful thought leadership through publications, events, webinars, and industry forums
  • Serve as the voice of the customer, translating market trends, client needs, and competitive dynamics into product and strategy inputs
  • Identify whitespace opportunities and build business cases for new capabilities, integrations, and GenAI-enabled solutions
  • Enable internal teams through training, coaching, and go-to-market enablement focused on sales acceleration use cases

About the Team

The Global Solutions & Business Development team sits within Moody’s Growth & Strategy organisation and is made up of senior industry experts, consultants, and thought leaders. The team partners closely with sales to deepen customer relationships and with product teams to ensure solutions evolve with market needs. Focused on transforming fragmented go-to-market processes into intelligent, data-driven workflows, the team leverages Moody’s extensive data estate and Generative AI capabilities to help clients unlock growth, improve retention, and drive smarter sales and marketing decisions across banks, corporates, and insurers.
