Teacher of English - Outstanding Sixth Form - Islington
An Outstanding-rated Comprehensive Sixth Form in Islington is looking for a permanent, full-time Teacher of English, starting January 2026. This is an opportunity to join a truly exceptional learning environment.

Responsibilities
- You will deliver inspiring and rigorous tuition across Key Stages 3, 4 (GCSE), and 5 (A-Level).
- Your focus is driving high attainment and fostering a deep appreciation for diverse literary texts, advanced critical analysis, and confident communication.
- You will actively participate in the department’s co-curricular programmes, such as writing workshops, debating societies, and theatre trips.
- You are expected to contribute to the school's commitment to continuous improvement and staff wellbeing.
Requirements
- You must hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
- You must have passed your induction period and possess a successful record of teaching English at KS4 and KS5.
- You must have the right to work in the UK.
- You must hold a Degree in English or a related subject.
