Reception Teacher — Good School — Merton — January 2026...
A vibrant Good primary in Merton seeks a creative Reception Teacher to lead an Early Years class from January 2026. The Full-Time Reception Teacher will be involved in pre-term planning ahead of January 2026, attend induction during January 2026, and be teaching from January 2026. This role offers excellent outdoor provision, high adult-to-child ratios and a strong emphasis on early language and number development — ideal for a Reception Teacher who loves child-centred practice.

Reception Teacher Responsibilities
• Plan and deliver high-quality continuous provision and focused adult-led sessions as the Reception Teacher.
• Lead daily phonics, early reading, early maths and personal, social and emotional development as the Reception Teacher.
• Use observation and assessment to track progress and plan next steps as the Reception Teacher.
• Engage families and support transition into Year 1; the Reception Teacher will take part in transition activities before January 2026 and after the January 2026 start.
Reception Teacher Requirements
• QTS/EYTS or equivalent and recent Reception experience expected of the Reception Teacher.
• Warm, reflective and organised Reception Teacher with excellent communication skills.
• The Reception Teacher should be ready to participate in planning prior to January 2026, attend induction in January 2026, and teach from January 2026 as a Full-Time Reception Teacher.
