Primary School SEN Teaching Assistant – Redbridge Location: Redbridge, East London Start Date: ASAP Full-Time, Long-Term About the Role Destination Education is looking for a compassionate and dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to join a warm, inclusive Primary School in Redbridge. This full-time role is ideal for someone passionate about supporting children with additional needs and eager to make a meaningful impact in a nurturing school environment. You will be working closely with the SENCO, class teacher, and wider support team to provide tailored assistance to pupils who require extra support with their learning, communication, or emotional development. The role may include working 1:1 with pupils who have EHCPs, supporting children with ASD, ADHD, speech and language needs, or social, emotional, and mental health challenges. The school is known for its strong pastoral support, friendly staff team, and commitment to ensuring that every child thrives both academically and personally. Key Responsibilities Provide 1:1 and small-group support for pupils with SEN Assist in implementing EHCP targets and personalised learning plans Support pupils with communication, social skills, and emotional regulation Encourage positive behaviour and promote an inclusive classroom environment Help with classroom tasks, resource preparation, and learning activities Work collaboratively with teachers, SEN staff, and parents to ensure consistent supportThe Ideal Candidate Experience supporting children with Special Educational Needs Calm, patient, and empathetic approach Strong communication and teamwork skills Passionate about helping pupils overcome barriers to learning SEN training or relevant qualifications are desirable but not essentialWhat Destination Education Offers A dedicated consultant to support you throughout your placement Weekly pay Long-term opportunities within supportive schools Access to CPD and further training Interested?
