Science Technician | Tower Hamlets (Inner London)
A high-achieving secondary school and sixth form in Tower Hamlets is looking to appoint a dedicated and safety-conscious Science Technician for a permanent position starting immediately. The Role:
Preparing practical equipment, chemicals, and resources for daily science lessons
Maintaining, calibrating, and organizing laboratory apparatus and teaching areas
Ensuring strict adherence to health and safety regulations, including CLEAPSS and COSHH logs
Assisting teaching staff during practical demonstrations and exam practicals
Managing stock control, chemical storage, and placing procurement orders
Requirements:
Applicants must have:
Previous school experience working as a Science Technician within a UK secondary school or college
Thorough working knowledge of health and safety legislation relating to school laboratories
A strong academic background or qualification in a core science discipline
Excellent organizational and meticulous record-keeping skills
The legal right to work in the UK
Salary:
£26,000 – £31,000 per annum (Inner London Pay Scale)
