The Role:

• Preparing practical equipment, chemicals, and resources for daily science lessons

• Maintaining, calibrating, and organizing laboratory apparatus and teaching areas

• Ensuring strict adherence to health and safety regulations, including CLEAPSS and COSHH logs

• Assisting teaching staff during practical demonstrations and exam practicals

• Managing stock control, chemical storage, and placing procurement orders

Requirements:

Applicants must have:

• Previous school experience working as a Science Technician within a UK secondary school or college

• Thorough working knowledge of health and safety legislation relating to school laboratories

• A strong academic background or qualification in a core science discipline

• Excellent organizational and meticulous record-keeping skills

• The legal right to work in the UK

Salary:

£26,000 – £31,000 per annum (Inner London Pay Scale)
