Business Unit Controller - Grocery Ireland
About the Role:
As a Business Unit Controller – Grocery Ireland, you will play a key role in leading and developing Ferrero’s commercial relationships across our Grocery customers within the Irish market. You will be responsible for delivering sustainable sales and profitable growth, building strong customer partnerships and identifying opportunities to grow Ferrero’s brands and categories.
Working closely with the Key Account Director and wider cross-functional teams, you will help shape and execute customer strategies, commercial plans and key business initiatives, ensuring they are aligned with Ferrero’s wider UK&I objectives while reflecting the specific opportunities and dynamics of the Irish Grocery market.Main Responsibilities:
In this role, you will lead the development and delivery of strategic customer plans for your assigned Grocery customers, identifying growth opportunities across categories and translating these into clear commercial priorities and actions. You will take ownership of senior customer relationships and lead key commercial negotiations, including customer agreements, promotional plans, pricing and investment.
You will manage customer performance across sales, profitability, volume, trade investment and commercial costs, working closely with Finance to ensure budgets and forecasts remain aligned with business objectives. Through regular analysis of customer, category and competitor performance, you will identify risks and opportunities and implement appropriate actions to support continued growth. Collaboration will be central to the role. You will partner closely with Trade Marketing, Marketing, Category Management, Finance, Supply Chain and Customer Service to ensure customer plans are effectively executed and any commercial or operational challenges are addressed. As a people leader, you will also be responsible for managing, coaching and developing your team, creating an environment built around Ferrero’s values, accountability, empowerment and continuous development.About You:
You will be an experienced FMCG commercial leader with a strong track record in customer management and a good understanding of the Grocery market. Experience of the Irish Grocery landscape and managing major Grocery customers would be particularly valuable.
You will bring strong commercial and financial acumen, with experience of customer P&L management, budgeting, forecasting, trade investment and developing profitable customer plans. You will be a confident negotiator with the ability to build credible, long-term relationships with senior customer and internal stakeholders. You will be comfortable using customer, category and market insights to make commercial decisions and identify opportunities for growth. Strong leadership and people development skills are important, alongside the ability to influence and collaborate effectively across multiple functions. A degree or equivalent relevant experience is preferred, together with significant commercial experience within FMCG or a similarly fast-paced consumer environment.What We Offer:
