Service Architect (IT)
Shape the services that enable secure, sustainable digital transformation at CGI. As a Service Architect, you?ll take ownership of end-to-end service design and transition, helping a major client migrate applications, data and capabilities from on-premise infrastructure to a modern cloud environment. Working at the intersection of business needs and technical delivery, you?ll influence how services are designed, governed and successfully moved into live operation. You?ll have the scope to introduce fresh thinking, improve ways of working and solve complex service challenges, while collaborating with an experienced, multidisciplinary team. Supported by CGI?s wider community of experts, you?ll help create resilient services that deliver lasting value for our client. CGI was recognised in the Sunday Times Best Places to Work List 2025 and has been named a UK ?Best Employer? by the Financial Times. We offer a competitive salary, excellent pension, private healthcare, plus a share scheme (3.5% + 3.5% matching) which makes you a CGI Partner not just an employee. We are committed to inclusivity, building a genuinely diverse community of tech talent and inspiring everyone to pursue careers in our sector, including our Armed Forces, and are proud to hold a Gold Award in recognition of our support of the Armed Forces Corporate Covenant. Join us and you?ll be part of an open, friendly community of experts. We?ll train and support you in taking your career wherever you want it to go. This role requires SC clearance, with SC+ preferred. If you do not currently hold SC+, you will need to be willing and eligible to undertake the required additional clearance. This is a hybrid position, but you?ll typically work onsite one day per week and will need flexibility to travel between CGI and client locations when required. The client base location is London, with the wider team distributed across multiple locations. Candidate profile: In this role, you will take ownership of service architecture across multiple streams of work, including a significant migration programme. Working closely with the client, CGI colleagues and Service Design and Transition teams, you?ll ensure applications, data and capabilities move from on-premise infrastructure to cloud-based services in a controlled and sustainable way. You?ll translate business and technical requirements into effective service designs that support operational stability from transition through to live operation. You?ll bring together technical and business stakeholders, challenge assumptions constructively and identify opportunities to improve how services are designed and operated. With the support of a collaborative team, you?ll apply service management standards and governance while helping develop innovative approaches that improve resilience, efficiency and long-term service performance.
