National Account Executive, MPO, Scotland

Bacardi Limited
London

YOUR OPPORTUNITY

YOUR OPPORTUNITY

You will manage the P&L, JBP and customer relationship with several keys on trade accounts in your region.

As part of our dynamic MPO team your input is crucial - we need your curiosity, creativity and agility to ensure we create sustainable and profitable business growth to deliver our On Trade strategy.

To become the “go to” drinks supplier, the team that sets industry trends globally, delivers world class execution, and builds love for our premium brands in the most innovative ways.

ABOUT YOU

You will be a positive, professional and agile self-starter, able to manage your time efficiently to be highly effective. You will be laser focussed on delivering versus annual targets but also have the vision to think about long term objectives.

Your entrepreneurial style means that you will thrive on being the key contact for customers, exploring new business opportunities, securing increased distribution and visibility for our brands, and responsible for industry leading relationships.

RESPONSIBILITIES - WITH OUR CONSUMER AT THE HEART YOUR KEY FOCUS WILL BE

You will continue to evolve our joint business across key multiple venue national operators (Multiple Premium Operators/MPO) in the UK On Trade. These are groups of 5-50 venues who are managed by a centralised head office buyer and don’t necessarily require individual outlet callage.

You will adopt a winning approach across your accounts, collaborating internally and externally to exceed expectations and be recognized as best in class in the industry.

  • Build and develop a solid and sustainable commercial plan which will focus on driving forward our premium brand market share in the On Trade and launching innovation brands with impact. Own your regional plan.
  • Build existing accounts to achieve their maximum potential and continually prospect for high quality new accounts to bring in incremental business.
  • Form strong customer partnerships and become the customers’ first call when a brand owner is needed for activation, offering innovative solutions that will excite and delight our consumers and convert them to our brands. A true business consultant.
  • Through effective measurement and evaluation, you ‘think, decide, act’ where required, to ensure your forecast remains accurate and on track by adjusting and course correcting, identifying short- and long-term growth opportunities.
  • Work cross functionally to use data, insight and activation to create consumer call to action through digital, social and at point of purchase. Stay ahead of the competition with innovative business solutions to create moments that matter for our consumers. Work on building a robust network of internal and external contacts to maximise your effectiveness.
  • Manage all commercial spend and ensure all Return-on-Investment metrics are met. Follow up activations with a thorough evaluation process – sharing best practice so we capture learnings and decide on what we should do stop/start or do more of. Make every £ count.
  • Be a highly organised account manager and use our support systems to maintain all necessary reporting accurately and on time.

This role will require flexibility and ability to travel to customer and internal meetings but also training sessions. You will also need to stay close to your account base and have a good working knowledge of their venues by visiting and completing regular compliance checks.

SKILLS - THE SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE NEEDED TO CREATE YOUR LEGACY

  • Entrepreneurial spirit with an ability to think big and creatively identify opportunities to transform the business and create sustainable and profitable growth in line with our Best 10 and beyond strategy.
  • You will be an accomplished account manager with at least 2 years previous sales experience and a track record of winning new business and building strong, collaborative relationships, making you your customer’s ‘First Call’.
  • You will be proficient at building P&L’s, tendering, presenting with impact to win and then ensuring contract compliance to maximise ROI.
  • Have the commercial acumen to grow our Premium share and build our Gross Margin %, using our internal systems, including Amalia and Anaplan, to accurately record your progress.
  • Be analytical and be willing to use data to help create insight that turns to action.
  • Be comfortable working as part of a team or independently as required and have a positive ‘can do’ attitude, bringing to life our values.
  • Be highly organised and an effective planner, able to fulfil all administrative tasks accurately and punctually to maximise effectiveness and customer face to face time.
