Product Development Assistant
Phoebe Philo is looking for a meticulous, commercially aware RTW Product Development Assistant to support the team in delivering the end-to-end product development process across ready-to-wear categories.
Responsibilities of the Product Development Assistant:
- Assist the developer in all daily collection development tasks.
- Daily monitors the progress of developments.
- Centralise supply needs and prepare for shipment to factories.
- Participate in sending packages throughout the development of the collection.
- Prepare normalisation meetings in support of the developer.
- Help with the organisation of the archiving of the samples at the end of the season.
- Input and update product information into AirTable, ensuring accuracy is maintained throughout the collection
- Liaising with vendors on shipments, tracking and monitoring deliveries to ensure they arrive on time
- Support the Product Development team with technical feasibility of products, brainstorming ideas and solutions to ensure the design vision is translated into product
- Sample /stock management
- Organising, filing and archiving samples, swatches and raw materials
- Collection overview documentation management
- PO management- prototypes, samples, excess stock, organising and recording all invoices
- Tracking and reporting on budget for product development, prototypes and samples
- Providing support to the product development team and design team regarding product information (spec sheets, colour cards, sample archives)
- Updating boards and collection books
- Supporting with administrative tasks as required.
What Phoebe Philo is looking for:
- At least 1 year's Product Development experience
- RTW construction, leather/materials knowledge linked to shape and performance
- Strong attention to detail
- Experience with large volumes of data entry, ensuring complete detail and accuracy even when working at speed
- Commercial awareness of product cost and tracking against budgets
- Good communication skills, able to effectively share information with the team in a clear, concise way
- Knowledge and passion for fashion and products – ‘fashion sensibility’ - knowledge of trends, the market, the luxury consumer and peer awareness
- Demonstrated ability to operate at pace with flexibility, initiative and solution-oriented
- Strong organisational skills
- Excel skills
- The right to work in the UK (no visa sponsorship required)
- Experience with accessories and technical capability is a plus
