Europe Compliance Officer Monitoring and Testing

Ensures all activities are conducted in accordance with applicable regulations, internal policies and procedures.
Is this role right for you? In this role, you will:
- Foster a customer-focused culture by building strong client relationships and making effective use of the Bank’s relationships, systems and knowledge.
- Assist the Director, Compliance Assurance, Europe, with delivery of the UK and Ireland Monitoring and Testing programme.
- Apply the Bank’s risk appetite and risk culture when carrying out day-to-day activities and making decisions.
- Support effective and efficient operations by helping ensure assigned business controls are adequate, followed and effective in meeting regulatory compliance, conduct and business conduct obligations.
- Help maintain a high-performing and inclusive work environment.
Do you have the skills that will enable you to succeed in this role? We'd love to work with you if you have:
- Degree educated or equivalent experience.
- Relevant experience in compliance, audit or regulatory testing within a financial institution.
- Working knowledge of securities and banking rules, regulations, by-laws, policies and procedures.
- Working knowledge of UK and European GBM&T businesses, regulatory principles and products.
- Experience managing multiple stakeholders at mid to senior management level, including business and third-party stakeholders.
- Good understanding of the firm’s business practices, organisational structure, policies and procedures.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills across global stakeholders.
- Good project management skills.
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
- Able to manage multiple tasks and meet demanding deadlines.
- Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to provide high-quality service and maintain effective relationships with assigned client groups and team members.
- Able to identify and handle sensitive and confidential information appropriately.
- Self-motivated and confident, with the ability to work independently and collaboratively.
- Strong planning, organisational and time-management skills.
- Results-oriented with a strong delivery focus.
- Reliable, consistent and disciplined.
- Demonstrates a high level of integrity.
- Tactful, diplomatic and constructively persistent.
- Advanced knowledge of MS Office, CoPilot and role-relevant software tools.
