Chef Manager

Job Description

Aramark UK is hiring a Chef Manager at UEL Stratford Campus (E15 4LZ) for a 40-hour role, 5 days over 7, between 7:30am–6pm (45.24 paid weeks, including annual leave). The overall responsibility is to oversee the kitchen and front of house teams to ensure delivery of exceptional food, both in quality and presentation.

Your day:

• Train new team members for all general tasks
• Ensure cleaning standards and safety procedures are adhered to
• Create and deliver training plans for all front of house staff
• Support staff training to ensure full knowledge of the menu, drinks and promotions
• Maintain the POS system and ensure all staff are trained to use it efficiently
• Encourage forward planning and ensure mise-en-place and stock ordering follow checklists and business needs
• Hold team meetings, deputise for the manager, and support management briefings
• Maintain daily financial and food production task using Aramark systems

You’ll bring:

• Previous experience in leadership and team management
• Strong organisation and multitasking abilities
• 2-3 years’ experience in a catering or retail environment
• 3-5 years’ experience in food preparation and delivery
• 1-2 years’ supervision experience in catering or retail
