Year 1 Teacher — Good School — Croydon — January 2026 start
A warm, community-focused Good primary in Croydon seeks an enthusiastic Year 1 Teacher to join its KS1 phase on a Full-Time contract with a January 2026 start. The Year 1 Teacher will receive a full induction package in the weeks leading to the January 2026 start, collaborative planning time before the January 2026 start, and on-going mentoring once in post after the January 2026 start. This Full-Time Year 1 Teacher post provides protected planning time, strong TA support and a clear CPD pathway designed for the Year 1 Teacher appointed from the January 2026 start.

• Year 1 Teacher to begin induction, planning and class teaching from January 2026 start
The successful Year 1 Teacher will be confident delivering systematic phonics, early reading, writing and number work. The Year 1 Teacher will run daily phonics sessions, lead guided reading, plan cross-curricular topics and deliver small-group interventions tailored to children’s needs. As Year 1 Teacher you will be responsible for assessment and reporting, working with parents and contributing to whole-school life. This Full-Time Year 1 Teacher role will see the Year 1 Teacher involved in subject planning, moderation and pupil progress meetings from the January 2026 start onwards.
