Army - Quartermaster Support Officer

As the Quartermaster Support Officer, you will provide support to the Quartermaster when dealing with all Health and Safety matters relating to both Regents Park Barracks and military accommodation elsewhere in London.

On behalf of the Quartermaster, you will be expected to be the main point of contact for accommodation matters elsewhere liaising both with those who live there, contractors regarding the security aspects as well as being the point of contact for infrastructure matters.

You will be expected to regularly provide information to the Quartermaster and assist in delivering required outputs be it from a MOD policy or legislative aspect.

You will be required to have a good understanding of and work in accordance with the Officer Commanding's Health and Safety Environmental Protection Statement.

Main responsibilities will include:

Ensure all day-to-day duties and activities within the Quartermaster Department are carried out in a timely fashion as directed by the Quartermaster
Attend various meetings on site and off on behalf of the Quartermaster. On occasions take the role of Secretary and produce minutes within the required time scale as directed by the Quartermaster
Report all faults identified to the Quartermaster Department to the single point of contact and carry out the necessary follow up action and provide progress information to the Quartermaster. In the process of these duties you may be expected to sit in on meetings with external agencies/contractors and report information gathered to the Quartermaster
Help prepare and distribute H&S related documentation as directed by the Quartermaster
As the main administration focal point for the branch, you will be expected to collect and process all incoming and outgoing mail pertaining to the department
Assist the Quartermaster with all security aspects of both Regents Park Barracks and military accommodation when required, and to provide support to the Second in Command on security matters
Lead with the receipt and issue of stores using various IT systems in use across Defence
On behalf of the Quartermaster, escort visitors and contractors as and when required
Assist others in the team with tasks in and around each of the stores’ locations, offices and accommodation as and when required
Deal with telephone and email queries with internal and external stakeholders providing support to the Quartermaster on a daily basis
Assist with the general husbandry of the Quartermaster’s Department
Responsible for overseeing booking and marching in and out of personnel requiring accommodation liaising with others as required
Assisting the Quartermaster with Write off’s and losses action regarding stores as and when required
Providing advice and guidance to those who request assistance from the Quartermaster as and when required
Support the Quartermaster on all CCTV matters as required
