£80,000 + £10k bonus + benefits

Quant Capital is urgently looking for a Python Developer to join our high profile client.

Our client is a $20billion strong Hedge fund with performance figures of 23%. They trade a number of products across equity and commodities in both high and low frequency strategies. They have the reputation as one of the best funds globally. They use a combination of proprietary data, superior technology, and aggressive execution to achieve their trading objectives.

The successful Python Developer will be involved in the design, development & maintenance of a new python platform to research, back-test and trade quantitative strategies.

This will also include developing & maintaining the infrastructure, such as databases or client / server architecture, and building up a snapping framework to load data from multiple sources, including live market data or third party data.

The junior python Developer position is a front-office position and the suitable candidate will work closely with the Quantitative team, notably on:

• Building pricing models from scratch, able to develop, modify, test, optimize and implement models and strategies
• Building a research platform for back testing quant strategies
• Research
• Developing various trading tools (Excel, C++)
• Developing and maintaining various overnight processes

Python Developers MUST have:

• Computer Science Degree
• 2 years plus pure python development experience in a in a bank Asset manager or Fund
• Strong analytical skills.
• Strong knowledge Excel and VBA and including advanced SQL.
• Knowledge of system design, programming & maintenance
• Experience supporting production environments
• Experience with distributed processing
• Experience with client / server architecture
• Experience with web service.
• In depth knowledge and experience of developing in Python
• Strong and proven experience with relational databases (eg SQL) and document store (eg MongoDB).
• Very good maths skills
• You MUST be AN EU Passport holder due to restrictions.
